Noctum's Poem book

Postby Noctum on Tue Jun 08, 2010 1:15 am

--Obviously Nobody sees his poem book, but I figure it would be a shame to go through the trouble to not post it anywhere...--

The First post is actually something from before his Ascension....
During the days of him being a raider, after growing up in the Orphanage he would inevitably support his entire life, he was sitting around a campfire alone, while relaxing after a hard day of performing Raider Duties. Thus My creativity is stunted and it is simply known as:

The Raider Song.

When I was a young Raider,
I thought no one was greater.
I hunted, and killed, and lived alone.
A Raider’s life was for me.
But Now I grow older,
My mind is more clear
And Asmodae grows colder
A Raider’s life was for me.
I wish to go back,
Back to the days of Raiding Asmodae!
I wish to go back,
Ishalgen has the life for me.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

The Ballad of Naivety
*a melodic ballad-like tune.*

I felt your presence in the air,
You helped me realize what was missing,
It was because of your care
That I longed for kissing

That forehead sheltered with hair.
Your eyes so radiantly shine;
Oh how I wish you’d look into mine.

My dear how far can you get,
I may be a crow,
But you’ve got me in a net.
So please I’ve got to know,
Will you let this love grow?
I’ll be yours for eternity.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

--This Poem was written shortly after him and Kayhn met.--

The Sonnet of Blue and Purple Love

Oh cruel beast, what hath forsaken you?
An arrow through your heart; a fate like mine.
How could he woo me with such simple coos?
My heart’s still alive because he is kind.

My problem lies in trust: the true danger.
I’ve been hurt before, but this is diff’rent.
Open your heart, let me be your ranger;
Hope he’s the one I won’t have to lament.

But how do I know he’s the one I love?
He has given me special attention,
And his affection does seem to ring true…
My life had been empty before ascension.

Even though this is my biggest of fear,
I won’t cower as long as he is near.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

--This song was written shortly after Kayhn had dumped Noctum. So it is a bit Melodramatic, but that in a way is Noctum, so... anyways >.>--

Pandaemonium Blues

*The tune would be melodic and feel like an old-time country tune, if it were sang anyway*
I shall sing a story of a man so blue,
Of a man who tried his best to stay true.
He spoke his words and meant to be happy
And I know this sounds sappy:

Take man away from his desire,
And then he’ll be stuck in a mire
Goodbye happiness, hello Sorrow
Goodbye dreams, hello loneliness.
I’ll take these wings to you if you’ll let me
Return to you, in your arms to stay.

This man knew happiness in little pieces,
His heart was broken too many times.
He decided to go off to Kysis,
His fate was his only crime.

Take man away from his desire,
And then he’ll be stuck in a mire
Goodbye happiness, hello Sorrow
Goodbye dreams, hello loneliness.
I’ll take these wings to you if you’ll let me
Return to you, in your arms to stay.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

Nothing Left to Say

Days go by as I sit alone at night,
Thinking of where we went wrong.
If I were in your arms I’d be alright,
And I wouldn’t sing this song.

I know I screwed up,
I’m paying every day,
How I wish I were better
And now there’s nothing left to say.

Dreaming of you unable to let go,
My heart has decided and now I know.
This pain inside will last a lifetime,
And I’ll always pay for this crime.

I know I screwed up,
I’m paying every day,
How I wish I were better
And now there’s nothing left to say.

If I ever get a chance
I’d never stop our dance.
But I know its over,
So let’s talk when I’m sober

I know I screwed up,
I’m paying every day,
How I wish I were better
And now there’s nothing left to say.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

--This is the song Noctum sang at Moslan Concert XII, The song is untitled, and scribbled into his notebook hastily--

Sitting in the tavern, I watch as the day goes by.
A man professes love, and woman begins to cry.
Take a chance to see the world around you
And give yourself a chance to survive

Take to flight, and fly so high.
Alone in the night, I wander alone.
Take a chance to decide what you want
Out of life, and care about those you love.

I fell in love long ago,
Our souls seemed to click.
As time passed by and we fell apart
I began to cry.

Take to flight, and fly so high.
Alone in the night, I wander alone.
Take a chance to decide what you want
Out of life, and care about those you love.
And someday you’ll find your way.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

This Poem is not only inscribed in Noctum's Poem Book, but was also put on a Wisdom Tome he made for another player as a dedication to him.

For that one Daeva

With eyes that shine as radiantly as water,
and a heart as pure as gold,
No man could resist his emotions so bold.
This Daeva is perfect by Aion from claw to mane,
Which is why I dedicate this tome to Kayhn.
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

So yes. In Noctum's poem book, he wrote in another poem he entitled:

To My Hopeful Future

I have been thinking of you and me,
With every fiber of my being true.
My sadness I can’t bear to let you see,
Else you’ll see a shade of very dark blue.
When I first met you love, I had no clue.
But ev’ryday since that first loving kiss,
I want nothing more than to be with you.
Even though the world may hate us for this:
My heart’s trepid as I ask this of you,
Will you marry me and keep our love true?
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.

Um... Again, a song he sang at the Moslan Concert XIII was an original poem by him he practiced and sang.

So in Love

I dreamt of a place to meet the one I chose
I wanted to see if there’s a chance
Standing alone, I wait for him to show
Why must we live this dance?

Oh why can’t you be here today?
I waited for you to arrive
I wanted to know, if I’m lucky at all
And so I’ll wait for you

Recently, I made a new friend,
He’s become someone to trust.
I try to be there for him
and stay as I must
But then he says to me
I want what’s best for you, even if I have to step aside
I begin to walk away, and this is what he had to say

I want to be what makes you smile
I want to be the one
I know this not what you want from me,
So I’ll stand by your side, until my life is done
Oh why can’t you stay here today?
I’m always waiting here for you
I want you know, I’m not lucky at all
What should I do? Aion knows I’ll stay true
Because I’m so in love with you
Yeah he said, I’m so in love with you
What is more important: fighting for what you're told to, or fighting for what you believe in?
Venture forth and fight for what you love.
